๐ฅPork and Meat on the Canadian Menu
Pork is a regular part of the Canadian menu. These are some of the items with pork in the name or recipe.

๐ฐThe 2016 Rumour About Removing Pork
In April 2016, a website claimed Tim Hortons would remove ham and bacon and switch to halal meat. Snopes found that no such change was announced in Canada or the US, the article later carried a satire label, and pork stayed on the menu.

๐งชAlcohol in Flavourings and Baked Goods
In a 2014 question to the Darul Iftaa scholars at IslamQA, a Canadian customer said Tim Hortons head office told them some products contain traces of ethyl alcohol that evaporate in baking. The answer, approved by Mufti Ebrahim Desai, said such items can be eaten under Hanafi rulings if they contain no other haram ingredient, while urging care about cross-contamination.
That is one scholar’s view from 2014. Other schools and scholars may rule differently, and recipes change. Ask your own imam if you are unsure.

โLower-Risk Choices If You Avoid Non-Certified Meat
If you avoid meat that is not halal certified, these are the drinks and foods without meat in the name. None of them are halal certified, and shared equipment still applies. This is not a halal list.
Plain drinks
Brewed coffee (from $1.59), Americano, Espresso and Steeped Tea. HalalSpy rates plain coffee, espresso and tea as the lowest risk.
Flavoured drinks
French Vanilla, Iced Capp and flavoured lattes use mixes and syrups whose full ingredients are not published. Ask Guest Care if this matters to you.
Meat-free food
Veggie Loaded Wraps and Bowls, Simply Cheese Flatbread Pizza, egg and cheese sandwiches, bagels and many donuts have no meat in the name. Check the guide for ingredients like gelatin or alcohol-based flavours.
Pro Tip
Contact Tim Hortons Guest Care with a specific item name and ask about animal-derived ingredients and alcohol. A specific question gets a clearer answer than asking if the menu is halal.
